South of Market Health Center (SMHC) is a nonprofit community clinic providing quality healthcare to under-served members of this San Francisco neighborhood.

Polytech Associates partnered with SMHC to bring their egalitarian vision to reality. Our team created a tenant improvements program for the new 20,000 sf medical center, which includes treatment spaces for women’s and children’s services, health education, adult medicine, dental suite, and urgent care. WRT Solomon ETC (now Mithun) was the base building/residential architect.

SMHC won a Golden Nugget Award for the Best Responsive Design in the Special Needs Category.
